CLASSES FOR KIDS

EXERCISE CAN BE FUN

Exercise is important for the growing little bodies. And sometimes neither sport, nor dancing in its conventional form seem to suit. Puzzled? Here is a solution - fitness classes designed specially for kids! Exercising has never been more fun for kids! 

CLASSES WE OFFER

DanceFIT Kids

High-energy class that is a great introduction to fitness, coordination and strength, all while having fun! Kids have a blast dancing to upbeat music mixes. DanceFIT class is a mix of a cardio workout and modern dance. It is full of variety as it provides for lots of freedom to mix & shake it all up. Kids not only dance but, also learn self-motivation and gain confidence and self belief. It’s a great place to learn, get fit, interact with other kids while working out in a group in a fun environment.

These classes are held during Qld State School Terms on the following days:

Tuesdays, 3:30 - 4:15 pm for 5 to 8 yo

Mondays, 5:15 - 6 pm for 9 to 12 yo

Wednesdays, 5:30 - 6:30 pm for 13 to 16 yo

Yoga Kids

This class encourages kids to develop the little yogi within. Get your kids moving & away from screens! It is a fun & creative class which lays the base foundation of understanding the power of breath, body movement and time away from busy lives and internal chatter in a non-competitive environment. Each class will enhance children’s self-awareness through targeted activities working on creative movement, group-work, breathing and meditation. Children will be taken on an inner journey as they explore mindfulness in an age-appropriate way. From fitness perspective, yoga is a set of physical exercises comprised of specific bodily postures that are performed with breath control. Benefits of regular yoga practice are endless, here are some:

  • Fosters a deep sense of well-being

  • Reduced fatigue/inertia

  • Reduction in anxiety

  • Better night’s sleep

  • Helps to store energy  

  • Development of self-confidence & improved self-esteem

These classes are held during Qld State School Terms on the following days:

Thursdays, 3:30 - 4:15 pm for 5 to 8 yo

Wednesdays, 4:15 - 5 pm for 9 to 12 yo

Thursdays, 5:45 - 6:45 pm for 13 to 16 yo
