Yin & Ooom
This class is perfect to wind down after a long day or to relax for the busy working week ahead. It is a slow-paced, gentle, relaxing, passive style that allows you to release the body into a gentle stretch. Even though it is passive, yin yoga can be quite challenging. The challenge is (believe it or not) is to fully relax & maintain stillness in a posture. The purpose of it is to apply moderate stress to the connective tissue - the tendons, fascia and ligaments - with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. It also helps to regulate the flow of energy in the body and is calming and balancing to the mind. Meditative, this class is great for reducing anxiety and stress, a quiet time away from busy lives and internal chatter.
