OUR PRIDE

Many of past students of our Principal Choreographer, Olga, have gone on to dance professionally or taken up teaching careers. All have taken away with them a strong love of the arts. Some of the students that have taken on dancing as their career as either professional dancers and/or choreographers:

Ekaterina Barasheva

Ekaterina has an extraordinary story that proves that with determination, desire and passion, anything can be achieved!

Ekaterina started dancing at Olga’s studio when she was 6 years old. At the age of 8, due to family circumstances, Ekaterina had to quit her ballet practice. But her desire to dance remained, and she returned back to Olga at first opportunity when she was already 13 years old. It is then, that Ekaterina realised that ballet is the love of her life and that she wants to make it her career. She wasn’t going to let her age or lack of continuous practice  stop her. By 17 she made a firm and final decision to become a professional ballerina. For ballet world, it is extraordinary, children begin professional study at 10 years of age with significant training behind them, and after passing through the strictest selection criteria. Deciding to dance professionally at 17 years of age is considered unrealistic. But Ekaterina was so determined, she just had to break standards and rules of world of ballet, and is likely 1 in a million, that was actually successful at it with Olga's exceptional training, help & support.

Former professional ballet dancer at the Theatre of Opera and Ballet at the St Petersburg’s State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatorium and the Krasnoyarsk Theatre of Opera & Ballet

Completed Course in Professional Instruction at the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet in St Petersburg, Russia

Tatiana Tsiganova

Olga discovered Tatiana by chance at the age of 4 and immediately noticed her talent. She invited her to the dance studio where Tatiana soon proved to be a truly gifted child in dance. Olga had no doubt that Tatiana will tie her life with dance, as Tatiana truly is one who was born to dance.

Irina Kalyanova

Irina's parents brought her to Olga's studio when Irina was already 9 years old, considered late as most students start at the age of 4 or 5. Irina's parents convinced Olga at the audition to take Irina into a group with girls who were already into their 5th year of dance program. Irina did not disappoint. She was most passionate student who was eager to learn everything there is about dance, most motivated, hard working student Olga ever taught. Irina became Olga's 1st assistant, and that's when Olga knew Irina was destined to follow her steps and become a choreographer and great dance teacher her self.
